This journal entry will likely turn into a rant, but will have some important information. If you are reading this, and you yourself publish photo's online, or know someone who does this will be worth your time.

I am a member of the Mail Artisans International League (M.A.I.L), a few days ago it was brought to the attention of the community that somebody was stealing our content, blatantly and willfully infringing on copyright material [link] to put on his "blog" chainmaille.org. the BoD having experience with these matters jumped into over drive and within 24 hours he took down the site, as your can see from this [link] . Now, he's at it again. a member of the admin team was monitoring his site, just in case he would try something again. He's currently testing blog posts hot linking from a variety of websites, on his site he states

Quote (but condensed for size), "If you notice a picture on this website that belongs to you. Since I am not hosting the images or videos. I will need to refer you to each of the hosting companies.
Companies I am using are as follows: photobucket.com, webshots.com, slide.com, tinypic.com, Youtube.com, Google.com, and all other sites that are hosting images and video."

Contacting him as he says to do will result in nothing if you read my links above you will see this. He has over 70 domains, and based on what I've seen I can safely assume this isn't only people who make chainmaille that will be affected by this guy. He does not give credit, he is STEALING your work. There is only one thing left to do, do a little research, find out if your affected, and go for the throat!

Based on this same evidence, I am going to agree with another member of MAIL. From the looks of things, all he does is steal content to give his websites content, to bring people to his site to try and make money off all the ads. He is making money off YOUR work. Your work which you uploaded somewhere, to share with others of your artistic community, to stir inspiration from those who view it. People like this guy NEED to be stopped and the only way to do it is to stay alert, and take action.
